position summary

the incumbent is generally responsible for maximizing the efficiency, productivity, and revenue of the apex related operations through competent delegation and oversight of subordinate staff. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, efficient workflow, and effective team collaboration within the department. To provide services requested by customers and transferring the information to the employees.

essential functions & duties (at least 5 functions)

• ensure the utmost levels of customer satisfaction at all times;
• maintain accurate records of slip assignments, vacancies, and waiting list;
• oversees clerical and support services, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner;
• address billing inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally;
• assignment of work orders to capable staff;
• review of work standards to ensure quality control;
• organization of staff, equipment, and inventory to ensure accountability;
• assists clerical and support staff with their assigned duties, particularly when more advanced, skilled, or sensitive work is required;
• maintain accurate records and documentation related to slips, service schedules, billing, customer inquiries;
• completion of performance appraisals of subordinate staff including personnel action such as disciplinary action;
• identify areas for process improvement within the department and suggest strategies to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation;
• possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.

qualifications: qualifications (i.e. Credentials, certifications)

valid driver's license. Must possess reliable transportation.the incumbent must possess high level interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situation with tact as to maintain positive relations with the clientele of the apex department and apm. The incumbent must be reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfill obligations as established herein or otherwise assigned.

education

must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree and/or post-secondary certification in marine related fields is highly preferable. Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality or related field highly preferred.

experience

minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible management experience required; experience in the boating industry with an emphasis in operations, service writing, management preferred.

general knowledge, skills and abilities

• knowledge of apm marina services and amenities;
• skills which allow for the tactful resolution of guest problems or concerns;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in iso/ems awareness;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in recyclable materials;
• knowledge or ability to be trained in blood borne pathogen awareness.
