This full-time opening spans the entire school year and is designed for individuals passionate about fostering growth and inclusion for students with a variety of learning needs, including those who are nonverbal.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in K-8 settings preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support and include students with diverse abilities, including nonverbal learners
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
• Commitment to differentiation and individualized instruction
• Organizational skills suited for maintaining assessments, IEP documentation, and effective lesson planning

• Provide instruction and support for a caseload of approximately 25 K-8 students in an inclusion setting
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized educational programs (IEPs)
• Use evidence-based strategies and accommodations to ensure access for nonverbal and verbally communicative students alike
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, speech/language professionals, and paraprofessionals
• Promote positive classroom management and foster a supportive, respectful learning environment
• Maintain thorough records, progress reports, and communication with families regarding student growth
