JOB SUMMARY
The Fee Booth Cashier is responsible for managing daily fee collections at Horseshoe Bend while complying with company cash handling policies. Provide guest service functions for the City of Page that include greeting guests, educating our guest about Horseshoe Bend, keeping the parking lot and surrounding area clean of trash, and delivery of exceptional guest service. Monitor and control the traffic into the parking facility.
Collect payment and process all cash and credit card payments. Reconcile balances and perform opening/closing duties. Must have the ability to handle all guest complaints at a higher level. Collect and dispose of all trash and weeds on the trail and in the parking lot. Working outside occasionally and in all kinds of inclement weather.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Welcome and greet guests and provide exceptional guest service.
- Provide quick and pleasant assistance in a timely and organized manner.
- Assimilate, monitor and correctly utilize fee booth POS system.
- Accurately process all cash or credit card payments for parking charges including collecting payments for parking, reconciling the balances and performing opening/closing duties.
- Ensure that guests are being charged accurately depending on their vehicle and the rates set forth by the Page City Council.
- Keep the fee booth clean, neat, and organized.
- Assist in parking lot trash pickup, raking, sweeping and monitoring external areas for debris.
- Aid with the parking of guest cars, vans and buses.
- Ability to open and close the facility entrance.
- Ability to stand in fee booths for long periods of time.
- Ability to pick up and dispose of trash and debris outside in parking lot and on trail.
- Keep booths, lunchroom, employee restroom and parking lot clean and neat daily.
- Serve as a resource guide to visitors regarding the City of Page and surrounding areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; and
- 1-year cash handling experience
- 2 years or more guest service experience
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Must possess a valid Driver License at time of employment.
- Knowledge of the Page/Lake Powell/Grand Circle area.
- Flexible schedule - operation is dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Ability to pass and become certificated in CPR/1st Aid/AED and fire training.
Skills and Abilities
:
- Knowledge of the methods, equipment and materials used in the collection of fees and reconciling monies collected.
- Skill in using good judgment and problem-solving skills in receiving and responding to public information, inquiries, complaints and emergency situations.
- Ability to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to stay calm & collected during emergency situations.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and other departments.
- Ability to work in a small confined space and outdoors in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to demonstrate superior customer service and positive attitude for the duration of one's shift.
- Flexibility in performing daily job functions, including a variety and variation of duties from day-to-day.
- Exhibit honesty, integrity, and fairness at all times.
- Ability to utilize small lawn equipment and facility vehicles.
- Ability to stand in booths for long periods of time. Ability to use handheld radio for communication.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, stooping, and talking, visual acuity and walking.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
