Position Title

Facility Maintenance Worker II – Electrician

Position Summary

As an Entry‑Level Electrician with Facility Maintenance, you will provide electrical maintenance and repair services to our facility and marina. You will work alongside experienced electricians, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, and perform general facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Essential Functions & Duties
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment such as switches, circuits, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate solutions, including repair or replacement of defective or damaged components.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Follow safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify repair and replacement needs.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records to track work performed and aid in future repairs.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education

Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Training from a vocational technical school or trade apprenticeship in a related maintenance field is preferable.

Experience

At least two years of experience in the maintenance or building field, or equivalent training in a vocational school.

Technical Skills

Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred.

General Skills
  • Knowledge of APM marina services and amenities.
  • Guest relation skills for calm, effective, polite, and professional resolution of guest problems or concerns.
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation, ISO/EMS awareness, employee orientation, hazard communication, hazardous materials response/respiratory protection, emergency response, recyclable materials, and blood borne pathogen awareness.
Supervisor Responsibility

No inherent supervisory responsibility, though such responsibility may be delegated by management as needed.

No access to confidential information as defined by the Antelope Point Marina Handbook.

Company Funds

No access to or handling of company funds.

Language Proficiency

The incumbent must communicate fluently in English and possess strong communication skills for interaction with coworkers, supervisory staff, customers, vendors, and visitors.

Environmental Conditions

The incumbent must work around water, lift up to 50 pounds with assistance, perform shift work up to 16 hours, and work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and on‑call status outside scheduled shifts. Outdoor work in adverse or inclement weather, including extreme heat, is required.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated per Antelope Point Marina policy, with a 90‑day performance evaluation to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Failure to meet performance standards may result in termination or relocation to another position.
