Lake Erie College, locatedin Painesville, OH, invites applications for the position of Graduate

Assistant,Physical Assistant.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Graduate Assist antis responsible for operational and administrative support to the PA program's core administrative team. This hybrid role splits responsibilities between fiscal/event-planning operations and clinical rotation/admissions tracking. The ideal candidate will gain multifaceted experience in higher education and healthcare program administration.

This is a12-month appointment, each year, for two consecutive years,pending successful evaluation at the end of year one.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows all terms and conditions per the Policy for Graduate Assistants.
  • Verifies document completion and continuously reviews onboarding requirements for application tracking.
  • Responds to inquiries from prospective students regarding admissions requirements and interview timelines by monitoring the PA inbox and assisting with information night coordination.
  • Assists with the coordination, setup, and execution of virtual and on-campus interview days.
  • Guides matriculated students through pre-enrollment requirements, including background checks and immunization verification for student onboarding.
  • Assists the clinical team in monitoring student placements and maintaining active clinical affiliation agreements for rotation tracking.
  • Updates and maintains student data withing clinical rotation management databases (CORE) through software management.
  • Ensure student medical certifications (BLS, ACLS) and health records remain up to date through compliance monitoring.
  • Assists in event planning through executing milestones like the White Coat Ceremony, ordering white coats, certificates and framing for Manor House, orientation weeks, graduation celebrations, clinical outreach and preceptor events, and the Lakeland IPE event.
  • Supports Student Society events and outreach (ie fundraising, beach party, banners, etc.)
  • Ensures logistics by managing room reservations, catering orders, audiovisual setup, and physical materials/ inventory ordering and preparation for events.
  • Plans (OSCE) standardized patient coordination and check requests for coordination.
  • Maintains data management through accurate electronic records and student files while strictly adhering to FERPA confidentiality guidelines.
  • Performs office operations by monitoring departmental email inboxes, field phone calls, and assist with general office tasks. Work with PR to maintain TV in hallway with current events. Retrieve mailroom packages. Maintain and update plaques and signage. Prepare flash drives for the Exit Interviews. Assist with preparation of CME reports and certificates for preceptors.

Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY

COMPETENCIES:
  • Bachelor’s degree indata analysis,communications,or public relations.
  • Acceptance into a Lake Erie College graduateprogramrequired.
  • Knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
