- Define, witness, and approve critical quality assurance activities and performance verifications in both factory and field settings.
- Own mechanical completion checklists and verify installed assets meet design intent and are safe to start up.
- Serve as the accountable owner for site mechanical technical documentation including piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment datasheets, and relief device documentation.
- Interpret and apply company and industry codes and standards to resolve technical conflicts and embed constructability, operability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost considerations into designs.
- Influence project outcomes through sound technical judgment, risk-based decision making, and continuous improvement of mechanical standards.

- Working knowledge of Process Safety Management and Mechanical Integrity requirements including Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams and with external partners.
- Proficiency with two-dimensional and three-dimensional computer-aided design tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or Plant 3D.
- Strong field presence with the ability to translate design intent into safe, constructible, and maintainable installations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.
- Reliability or Mechanical Integrity exposure including inspection standards, fitness-for-service, risk-based inspection, or condition monitoring.
- Capital project lifecycle experience from front-end loading through start-up and stage-gate processes.
