Job Summary
The Family Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and management of family-centered programs. He/she will be supervising a 12-bed program that helps to build resiliency one family at a time. This leadership role involves coordinating services, supervising staff, and fostering strong relationships with community partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality support services. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, experience in program development, and a deep understanding of behavioral health and social work principles to promote positive outcomes for families served.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of family programs tailored to meet community needs.
- Supervise program staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies, service providers, and families to enhance program effectiveness.
- Oversee administrative functions related to program operations, including reporting, documentation, and scheduling staff for the shelter.
- Monitor program outcomes and utilize data to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide direct support and guidance to families dealing with challenges.
- Proven management and supervisory experience in a social work or behavioral health setting.
- Strong background in program development and program management within community-based services.
- Excellent relationship management skills to foster partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Administrative experience including reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and social work principles related to family support services.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a compassionate approach toward clients and staff.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
- On-call Supervision to family shelter staff as needed.
- Exceptional communication with other key leaders.
- Providing trauma-informed guidance and supervision to 10 shelter staff.
- Monthly statistical and program reports.
- Monthly scheduling of site staff.
- Reviewing bi-weekly timecards for payroll.
- Participating in agency meetings.
