Precision Tool & Die Maker​/Machinist — Innovate

Overview: We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Makers/Machinists to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and molds that drive our production processes forward. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality standards are met while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

• Machines die to print or modify to as-built requirements.
• Test completed tools or dies and adjust as needed to meet specifications.
• File, grind, shim, and adjust parts for proper fit.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools.
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour accuracy, and defects.
• Lift, position, and secure machined parts on surface plates or worktables.
• Measure, mark, and scribe stock for machining layout.
• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools to shape parts to spec.
• Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap assembly holes.
• Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces using hand tools or grinders.
• Review blueprints, sketches, and specs to plan fabrication steps.
• Verify finished part dimensions, alignment, and clearances to spec.
• Visualize and calculate assembly dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and templates to support part fabrication.

Minimal Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Operate all common machine equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
• Aware of and the ability to work safely and follow the Company’s Rules and Regulations that pertain to this safe workplace.
• Time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting abilities as well as a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Work from design prints, sketches, sample parts and oral instructions.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Personally possess basic inspection and machining tools to effectively perform job.
• Overtime as needed.
