Material Handler; 1st shift

Company: Precision Castparts Corp. is a worldwide, diversified manufacturer of complex metal components and products. It serves aerospace, power generation, and general industrial markets, and is a market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, and forged components for jet aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines.

Reporting: Reports directly to Dept. 610 Supervisor.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.

Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus. Must have experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.

The objective of a material handler in the Wax Department is to keep Wax Dressers and Wax Assemblers at their work stations by providing them with product and maintaining good housekeeping.

• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
• Move and wash molds.
• Coordinate special lot movement through Department.
• Keep jigs in jig room storage when not in use.
• Prepare set-up trays for the wax assemblers with molds and runners.
• Put racks, trays, foams, supplies and equipment away.
• Make set-ups at sub-assembly.
• Second dress with patterns.
• Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and in a safe working condition. Follow all safety rules.
• Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

• Physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.
• Ability to handle high stress associated with high activity and tight deadlines.
• Must pass Jaeger vision test.
