The Manufacturing Engineer develops, improves, and supports manufacturing processes for precision-machined components from new product introduction through production. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality. If you're energized by solving process problems, leading improvement projects, and building systems that stick, this role is a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production methods
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
- Support CNC machining operations including process validation and troubleshooting
- Analyze production data to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including routings, BOMs, and process sheets
- Support new product launches from prototype through full production
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and production issues
- Evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend capital improvements as needed
- Ensure familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Solid Works, ESPRIT, VERICUT
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
