Description Job Summary
The Tool & Die Maker is primarily responsible for making and repairing molds for injection of plastic products. The Tool & Die Maker lays out, machines, fits, assembles, and finishes metal parts to build molds.
Duties/Responsibilities- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five years experience in similar position required.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Frequent standing; walking; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
