Basic Function:
Working with and under the supervision of the CCHD Diocesan Director, the CCHD Intern will assist with outreach to the 184 parishes in the Diocese of Cleveland, to help establish and/or build relationships in order to promote the mission of CCHD. The Intern will assist with creating an education packet, including printed materials and social media resources to promote the mission and vision of CCHD within the diocese.
The intern will assist with creating a promotional packet on CCHD for parish use, especially in the context of the in-parish national collection. The Intern will assist with other duties as required.
The Intern will assist with the following projects for 10 hours/week for 33 weeks:
- Assist with making appointments for the CCHD DD and Intern to visit participating parishes
- Improve social media reach of CCHD – Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Assisting with the design and creation of relevant and up-to-date educational materials for parish use
- Reviewing current promotional materials and designing updated and relevant materials for parish use
- Improve relationships with CCHD-funded groups.
- Other duties as assigned

Reading, writing, grasping, holding and finger dexterity to manage correspondence, faxing, copying, answering phones, forms/documents, computer keyboard and files required on a frequent basis
Tasks require visual perception and discernment, and hearing on a constant basis
High degree of concentration for analyzing, interpreting and organizing data
RequirementsMust meet requirements from the CCHD National Office
Must have a basic and clear understanding of Catholic Social Teaching
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in social media
Must be able to work independently in an organized, time-efficient manner
Must be professional in dealing with leadership at the parish level
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
