As a Quality Control Lab Tech
, you’ll be at the forefront of our innovation by ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all analytical testing that supports our products, customers, and manufacturing operations. You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and operations partners to deliver sustainable solutions that advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished goods while following all SWP and SOP requirements.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, standards, and solutions with accuracy and precision.
- Document results in lab notebooks, SAP, and LIMS to ensure complete data integrity.
- Communicate test results promptly to operations and cross‑functional partners.
- Troubleshoot out‑of‑specification results and support root‑cause investigations.
- Execute testing related to customer complaints, discrepancies, and investigations.
- Assist with instrument qualifications, method validations, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized laboratory environment, including proper chemical disposal.
- Support the development or revision of SWPs, SOPs, methods, and reports.
- Train new team members on laboratory procedures, safety, and testing methods.
- Associate degree in Chemistry or 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing laboratory
- Minimum education:
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent - Experience with one of the following analytical techniques: physical property testing, wet chemistry
- Highly self‑motivated individual, focused on providing high quality laboratory data in an efficient manner, while exhibiting excellent workplace skills
- Solid background in Microsoft Office and computer‑based instrument control systems for analytical equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced problem‑solving skills and the ability to make competent, independent decisions in a timely manner to ensure excellent progress on assigned tasks
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and/or changing priorities with minimal to no supervision
- Must possess the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal customers, external customers, vendors, and various stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- Industrial chemical manufacturing laboratory experience
- Analytical experience with advanced instrumental techniques like GC, LC, ICP, and NMR
- Analytical chemistry experience
- Experience with LIMS and SAP QM modules
- Experience with proper usage and administration of Lab notebooks / e‑log notebooks
- Experience with root cause problem solving techniques and tools
- Experience with Statistical Quality Control methodologies
- Experience working in ISO
9001/14001 environments - Experience with internal auditing
