True Axis Recruiting is partnering with a well-established, growing aerospace manufacturing company seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer
. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working closely with suppliers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards.

What You’ll Do

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in managing supplier quality performance and supporting the organization's Quality Management System.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site and remote supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality procedures and audit programs
  • Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Lead supplier corrective actions and resolution of nonconformance issues
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation
  • Manage supplier qualification and Approved Vendor List activities
  • Support supplier onboarding and new vendor approvals
  • Partner with suppliers to improve quality and delivery performance
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring supplier quality requirements are achieved
  • Participate in internal, customer, and supplier audits
  • Support calibration, document control, and quality system administration
  • Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional quality-related projects as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
  • 3–5+ years of Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience working within manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or comparable quality management systems
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Experience managing supplier performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives
