Turner Industries is hiring experienced Scaffold Builders for a job in Painesville, OH. Scaffold Builders are expected to assemble, position, modify, and dismantle scaffolding to job specifications. This non‑exempt role reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman) and joins duties according to specific procedures with frequent work checks.

• High school or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in specified skill
• Ability to read engineered drawings (preferred)
• Ability to operate different types of forklift
• NCCER certification (preferred)
• Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements such as clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Employee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit.

• Inspect surfaces for holes, objects, and levelness
• Assemble scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid‑rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels
• Position scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting it in place
• Secure scaffold to permanent structure if required
• Handle other assembly types such as hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
• Reaching in all directions
• Handling and manipulating objects and materials
• Coordinating movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment
• Lifting 30–50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
• Carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting
• Seeing with or without correction
• Hearing with or without correction
• Wearing respirator and other PPE
• Using step stools
• Working in excessive heat, excessive cold, and loud environments

$32 – $38 per week
