Responsibilities

  • To respond to the immediate needs of all whom contact the Harper College Testing Center, whether they are in person or by telephone.
  • Perform clerical/reception duties during the busiest office hours.
  • Answers telephones, responds to emails, and checks identification, takes and distributes messages.
  • Distributes appropriate tests. Records daily, all telecourse testers, distributes answer paperwork to faculty and inventories weekly all telecourse tests.
  • Receives and records testing fees paid by students.
  • Ensures security, readability and filing of tests, and security of department’s computers.
  • Proctors test takers to maintain security.
  • Assists in administering computer based tests.
  • Sorts and distributes mail.
  • Assists in scoring tests.
  • Fills out appropriate paperwork as is required.
  • Monitors office supplies and maintains decorum of testing rooms.
  • Collaborates with the Access and Disability Services office to assure materials needed for specialized, accommodated testing are distributed.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule

Monday-Thursday 8am – 3pm

Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school graduate or equivalent. Basic computer skills training.
  • Experience:

    One to two years general office experience. Experience working with public and familiarity with computers.
