The Senior Technician position requires technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. The role includes a performance‑based flat‑rate compensation model.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years (company pays tests; bonuses for tests passed).
- Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Skill in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignment.
- General automotive maintenance and tire repair competence.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- 3–years automotive repair experience with third‑party assessments or completion of a vocational‑technical school program.
- ASE certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 acceptable).
