Piano Teacher - Palatine, IL

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach part‑time at The Music Room in Palatine, IL. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates Monday and Tuesday availability, 3:00‑8:00pm.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in piano performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $28‑$32/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health insurance options are available for all part‑ and full‑time employees at Ensemble.

The Music Room is an independent full‑service music school and store located in Palatine, IL. Founded in 1994, we pride ourselves on providing fun, personalized, and professional music education to students of all skill levels in a positive and welcoming environment. We teach voice, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and a handful of other instruments, and maintain an enrollment of over 200 weekly students.
