Little City is seeking an experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Adult Residential Services homes. The successful candidate will manage staff, maintain program quality, ensure health and safety compliance, and provide leadership to create a nurturing environment for residents with developmental disabilities.

Salary: $60,000 per year.
Work Schedule:
Either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday on an on‑call schedule.
As a key member of the Adult Residential Services management team, the Home Manager continuously monitors all aspects of the assigned home environment(s). Responsibilities include staffing, programming, incident management, budgeting, supplies, and fostering a conducive climate for resident growth and development. The role ensures safety, program implementation, and effective communication regarding maintenance issues.
Managerial & Administrative Duties- Maintain a working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement and progressive discipline procedures.
- Orient and train new hires; complete all OJT training checklists.
- Complete performance appraisals and ensure staff compliance with qualifications.
- Monitor direct care staff performance and provide training and guidance.
- Manage payroll, ensuring accurate timekeeping and overtime compliance.
- Supervisor oversight, coaching, and feedback during and after shifts.
- Hold monthly home team meetings to discuss home and resident issues.
- Coordinate staff needs with Human Resources for reassignment, leave, termination, and discipline.
- Maintain professional relationships and a team‑based approach with DSPs.
The Home Manager ensures compliance with all relevant regulations (DHS Rules 115 & 116, SSI, DPH, CARF, HUD, etc.).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct quarterly environmental checks and implement corrective action plans.
- Monitor vehicle usage, mileage logs, and occupant safety protocols.
- Provide 24/7 on‑call support, responding to emergencies and crises.
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and payroll monitoring.
- Ensure medication administration records are accurate and compliant.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet resident treatment goals.
- Produce monthly reports on incident documentation, progress tracking, and engagement programming.
- Maintain relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accountability for monthly budgets by tracking revenue and expenses.
- Ensure proper use of SSI funds alongside case managers and clinical therapists.
- Submit timely requests for funds to accounting for resident and home needs.
- Manage grocery budgeting responsibly.
- Complete required training and professional development as assigned.
- Maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
- Participate actively in department and agency meetings.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- At least two (2) years of management experience with developmental disability services.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other required software.
- DSP certification.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with a good driving record.
Job duties include prolonged sitting, walking, standing, occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance. The environment may expose employees to blood, body fluids, cleaning agents, and occasional noise levels ranging from normal to loud.
