• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system; handle various tenders and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines.
• Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
