Service Clerks assist shoppers over the counter service by recommending foods, providing samples, cutting, weighing, packaging, pricing, and responding to customer inquiries and requests. They also maintain clean work areas, update displays, and inform customers about specials, promotions, and new items.
Regular Full-Time or Part-Time
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties- Counter Service:
Assist shoppers over service counters by cutting, weighing, packaging, pricing deli/bakery/hot food items, and providing samples. - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate slicers, scales, vacuum sealers, and warming ovens. - Product Rotation & Display:
Rotate products (FIFO), remove outdated items, and keep service display cases clean and appealing. - Station Cleaning:
Clean surfaces, equipment, and floors continuously throughout the shift.
Position Requirements
- Serv Safe Food Handler Certification and non-slip shoes required.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor and excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35–50 lbs.
