This Position is a Part-Time Instructional Position.
Position Summary
The Respiratory Care Adjunct Instructor provides high-quality instruction for respiratory care courses within the Allied Health Department. Instruction may include classroom, laboratory, and clinical components. The position supports student learning outcomes and program objectives while maintaining compliance with College, state, and accreditation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Support
• Deliver effective instruction in assigned respiratory care courses.
• Prepare course materials, assessments, and instructional content aligned with program outcomes.
• Support student learning through timely feedback, guidance, and academic support.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance documentation.
• Foster a professional, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Program & Compliance Support
• Adhere to College policies, department procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Maintain licensure and credentials required for instruction.
• Participate in required meetings, training, and professional development activities.
• Ensure instructional practices meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with program leadership to support curriculum consistency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or a health-related field preferred from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Current Florida licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Ability to pass employment/reference verification, background check, and drug screening.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of respiratory care principles, practices, and clinical procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to teach in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings as assigned.
• Ability to use instructional technology and learning management systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
