Hydrologist III (Hydrogeologist) Bureau of Water Resource Information Job Summary
This is advanced work involving the design and/or evaluation of complex hydrologic studies; and/or the evaluation of the complex aspects of hydrological projects.
Job duties- Provides technical assistance to project lead staff in support of the well abandonment program, monitoring well network maintenance and design, geophysical logging, hydrogeologic data analysis, and well construction.
- Provides technical and field support to field staff regarding well abandonments, well construction, and geophysical log data collection.
- Provides technical assistance to project lead in groundwater quality and groundwater level evaluations; evaluating and refining networks to optimize spatial and temporal data collection.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, hydrology or a related field and two years of professional experience in hydrology relating to water resources.
- Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Prefer candidate who is working to obtain a Professional Geologist license.
Office environment sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products with field work and or field visits as required.
Field work and/or field visitsApplicant must have the ability to endure outdoor environments in uncomfortable temperatures, inclement weather, and remote locations.
LicensesRequires a valid Florida driver's license.
TravelRequires travel to attend off‑site meetings, sometimes outside of normal business hours including overnight. Overnight travel is associated with field work. Ability to drive oneself to and from locations.
Additional DetailsStarting Salary Range: $61,318.40 - $76,648.00
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
