This is professional work designing, implementing, and managing geographic information system (GIS) projects.

• Perform spatial analysis, manage & edit data, and ensure QA/QC for accuracy.
• Review land cover and vegetation GIS data for accuracy and proper boundary delineation.
• Develop maps and web/mobile applications using ESRI tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, Dashboards, Survey
  123, etc.
• Build and maintain GIS solutions, promote data quality, consistency, security, and accessibility.
• Assist in the distribution of District GIS data products and services to the public.
• Create and edit maps, applications, reports, and other deliverables; perform digitizing, attribute editing, annotation, and basic spatial analysis.
• Support ad-hoc data requests and consultant deliverables including lidar and imagery.
• Provide IT/GIS support, manage software and networks, troubleshoot issues; maintain documentation, SOPs, metadata, and data governance.
• Train and support staff on GIS tools, data, and workflows; collaborate with subject matter experts and field staff.

• Geospatial concepts, spatial analysis techniques, and cartographic principles.
• Data management practices and GIS QA/QC practices.
• ESRI software and tools, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related web/mobile applications.
• Understanding of District land cover and vegetation types; ability to interpret aerial imagery and maps.
• GIS workflows, editing, metadata, and general GIS concepts and techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in written, verbal, electronic, and visual formats.
• Photo interpretation, GIS editing, and metadata creation.
• Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver GIS solutions.

A bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, computer science, a physical or natural science, or related field plus two years of GIS experience with working knowledge of IT principles (enterprise applications, databases, networking, or systems integration). A master's degree can substitute for one year of experience; an associate degree plus four years of GIS experience also qualifies. Professional experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis for required education.

General office environment; some travel; occasional weekend and evening work; hours over 40 in a week earn comp time.

Valid State of Florida Driver’s License.

Starting Salary Range: $53,580.80 - $66,955.20 (based on qualifications and experience).
