Heavy Equipment- Storage

Position: Heavy Equipment-Active Storage
** Position Summary*
* The Active Storage Operator is a key contributor to maintaining steady material flow and supporting overall production operations. This role is responsible for feeding raw materials-including DSG, natural rock, reclaim, and related materials-from stockpiles into feeders while ensuring the material handling process operates safely, efficiently, and without interruption. The operator plays an essential part in sustaining production reliability and supporting continuous plant performance.

** Primary Responsibilities*
* The Active Storage Operator supports uninterrupted plant operations by safely operating and maintaining mobile equipment such as frontend loaders, forklifts, dump trucks, bulldozers, water trucks, and other site machinery as required. Core responsibilities include efficiently feeding raw materials into production systems, monitoring material flow, and maintaining consistent throughput. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, identify and troubleshoot a wide range of process and equipment issues, and uphold strong housekeeping standards throughout the shift.

Operators are expected to demonstrate safe work practices at all times and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth, reliable operations.

** Required Qualifications*
* + High school diploma or equivalent (required)

+ Proven experience operating heavy mobile equipment, including but not limited to dump trucks, front-end loaders, bulldozers, and excavators.

Preferred or Desired

Qualifications:

One year or more of experience in a manufacturing, mining, or industrial environment.

+ Basic to proficient computer skills, including the ability to use standard PC-based systems ""Excellent teamwork and communication skills

+ Ability to work a 12 hour rotating swing shifts

+ Consistent, reliable attendance with the ability to work days, nights, or weekends as scheduled

+ Willingness and ability to work overtime as required

+ Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat

+ Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 70 pound
