Supervisor House Administrator (Full Time) – HCA Florida Putnam Hospital
Job Summary & Qualifications- Oversees all unit operations while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios and adjusting staff as needed to cover call outs, low census, or specific unit needs.
- Reports and documents time spent during shift: issues occurring with facts and outcomes and rounding results of high-risk patients to Administrator on Call and Department Leaders before shift end.
- Coordinates admissions and discharges, ensuring appropriate timely patient placement. Provides assistance to Employee Health/Infection Control with flu vaccine administration, respirator fit testing, potential hospital-acquired infection monitoring, and other employee health tasks.
- Assumes responsibility and exercises authority while maintaining a professional demeanor that emphasizes service excellence.
- Initial liaison with medical staff for issues and concerns.
- Acts as a patient advocate when none is available.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to employees throughout shift.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and maintaining appropriate national certifications.
- Demonstrates leadership skills through effective delegation, time management, promoting teamwork, and appropriate conflict resolution.
- Successfully completes orientation and competency validation for the position.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership ability.
- Thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Associate Degree.
