Sales Associate Palatka, Florida

We are seeking part-time Sales Associates to deliver outstanding customer service and drive strong sales at Five Below.

• Greet and assist customers promptly.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions.
• Resolve customer concerns, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management regarding restocking, service requirements, and feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to meet store and company objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (e.g., cash registers, handheld and mobile devices).
• Good communicator capable of engaging customers.
• Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate cash register.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove up to a height of 5‑10 ft.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers via telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and to/from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as needed.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
