Position Summary
St. Johns Shipbuilding is in search of an experienced Pipefitter to join our maritime fabrication team in Palatka, FL. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise to the development and installation of complex piping systems essential to the operation of ships and marine vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret blueprints and layout specifications to accurately measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings.
- Perform welding tasks to install and secure piping systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
- Conduct tests on installed pipes, such as pressure tests, to validate system integrity and function.
- Collaborate with other skilled tradespeople to ensure the seamless integration of piping systems within vessel designs.
