2nd Shift and Weekend General Labor

Location: Palatka, FL

Shift: Friday‑Sunday 5:00 AM–5:00 PM (Weekend Shift – 36‑hour week paid for 40 hrs);
Monday‑Thursday 5:00 PM–5:00 AM (Night Shift – 46‑hour week)

Salary: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour (Double time after 50 hrs.)

Responsibilities:

• Use proper safety equipment to ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for all operations.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability, function, and safety.
• Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel to complete projects and work orders efficiently, on time, and defect‑free.
• Assist others as required to support their work activities.
• Adhere to safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and coworkers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to read metric tapes.
• Adaptability to work priorities, good communication skills, meeting deadlines, and teamwork.
• Commitment to work safety and active participation in safety culture.
• Commitment to attendance policies and procedures.
• Quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability of work performed.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
• Welding experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 40 lbs. and carry 30 lbs.
• Capable of pushing/moving objects up to 50 lbs. of force.
• Pulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of force.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel as needed.
• Good range of motion for reaching forward, overhead, and bending.
• Agile fingers and thumbs on both hands.

Working Conditions:

• Work performed indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other hazardous conditions.
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel‑toed boots required; respirator required for specific operations.
