Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to work well under direction of classroom teacher
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Some experience working with children
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in a teaching atmosphere

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist teacher in preparing and delivering instructional materials to students.
• Co-teach in both cooperative and small group settings.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records & prepare required reports.
• Supervise children on the playground, at lunch, during study time, and in other assigned areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading of buses at the bus ramp and/or other areas where students enter/exit the school campus.
• Participate in required training programs.
• Assist with the supervision of students during field trips, as assigned by the Principal and/or Designee.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
