The Opportunity – Gaza Education Programme Manager.
Post location: Gaza Field Office
Contract Duration and Level of Effort: 31st December 2026 with possibility of extension.
Role PurposeThe Education Programme Manager will be responsible for ensuring that education programming is implemented in a timely and qualitative way. The role includes leading sectoral needs assessments, overseeing program implementation (direct and indirect), managing staff, monitoring activities, and coordinating financial and procurement follow‑up with relevant departments.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to be flexible with work hours and responsibilities outside the normal profile.

Budget responsibilities: Yes.
Key Areas of Accountability- Ensure timely and high‑quality implementation of SCI’s education programme in Gaza, in close coordination with the EiE specialist and the overall education team, in line with international standards and SCI’s response strategy.
- Work with and support human resources in recruiting education staff for field positions and Community Engagement Workers.
- Ensure the implementation of education activities in the field and regularly update the education team and other relevant colleagues on progress, challenges, and contextual changes.
- Support development of new project proposals, including input to budget, log frame, and narrative, and contribute to accurate donor reports, case studies and field stories where required.
- Collaborate with the MEAL team to ensure monitoring and evaluation plans are well understood by the education team and that data are collected timely.
- Collaborate with the EiE specialist to provide capacity building and technical support to education staff, partners, CEWs and others, as required.
- Represent Save the Children in education in relevant forums and liaise closely with organisations working in the field of education.
- Strengthen and maintain links between education and other sectors to ensure integrated working in communities.
- Liaise with finance, logistics, and administration to guarantee the smooth running of programmes.
- Be aware of SCI policy and advocacy priorities and share any education issues at field level that require advocacy.
- Comply with Save the Children’s health, safety, and security procedures; child safeguarding policy; code of conduct and other relevant policies.
