occupied Palestinian territory. Candidates must be based in Gaza, Palestine.

Lead CNN’s neurodiversity specialist school, ensuring safe, high‑quality, trauma‑informed education delivery for children with autism and co‑occurring needs. Accountable for strategic direction, safeguarding, operational resilience, compliance, and team wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have a specialised understanding of, and demonstrated track record in, teaching children with autism and delivering education programmes for children with autism. In particular, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with the national curriculum whilst always ensuring that the teaching environment is one which understands how autism affects a child’s emotional and sensory needs. The successful candidate will also have experience of creating learning environments that are conducive to positive learning outcomes for children that are autistic.

Experience of supporting children to develop their social skills and social communication skills is essential and a demonstrated track record of working with Speech and Language Therapists is of significant benefit.

• Develop an education programme that specialises in bringing education to children with autism.
• Develop and implement school strategy aligned with CNN mission.
• Establish measurable annual operational and educational objectives. This must include a sequenced and adapted curriculum for pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence for life beyond school. Ensure regulatory, humanitarian, and safeguarding compliance.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning.

• Oversee daily school operations and safety protocols.
• Approve budgets, expenditure tracking, and financial controls.
• Monitor staffing structures and workload distribution.
• Ensure emergency preparedness plans are active and tested.
• Develop, implement and oversee robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) workflows to support programme quality, performance management, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement clear programme policies including but not limited to:
  Admissions policy, First aid policy, Attendance policy, Exclusion policy, Anti‑Bullying policy, Parental Complaints policy, Health & Safety Policy.

• Recruit, supervise, and performance‑manage staff.
• Embed trauma‑informed and neurodiversity‑affirming culture.
• Promote staff wellbeing and burnout prevention measures.
• Lead safeguarding culture and accountability mechanisms.
• Working with a wider variety of MDT autism focused specialists including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, behavioural therapy, nutritionists, educational psychologists and community paediatricians.

• Represent CNN in coordination meetings in particular with key stakeholders including the UN Education Cluster and the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Development.
• Build partnerships with humanitarian actors on ground and internationally.
• Report impact and outcomes to stakeholders and donors by maintaining comprehensive and accurate records measured within a MEAL framework.
• Ensure sufficient community consultation and appropriate feedback channels from beneficiaries of the programme and their families.
