Deli Associate

Kim's Convenience Stores Inc, a family-owned regional retailer based in Houston, is hiring a Deli Associate for our in-store deli. In this role, you'll prepare and serve deli meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat foods, deliver friendly, fast customer service, and keep the deli area clean, stocked, and organized. You'll follow strict food safety and sanitation standards, handle basic cash and POS transactions, and support overall store operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, slice, and package deli meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat foods following food safety standards
• Greet customers, take deli orders, and provide friendly, efficient service
• Maintain a clean, organized deli counter, prep area, and equipment
• Monitor product freshness, stock displays, and rotate inventory
• Follow portion, labeling, and merchandising guidelines to reduce waste
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately when needed
• Support store team with stocking, cleaning, and general retail tasks
• Follow company policies, health codes, and safety procedures
