Position Summary
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;
using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) by creating and processing work orders, performing minor diagnostics with technical and electronic equipment, assessing maintenance/repair and replacement needs, consulting with others, and selecting the best solution.
- Conduct repairs and replacements such as drivetrain components, communication equipment, onboard technology, and HVAC systems, following company and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and requirements; communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing.
- Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance, following procedures for fuel additives, monitoring tank levels before and after the drop, collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and completing appropriate paperwork.
- Identify and perform warrantable repairs by entering accurate information into the maintenance system, completing warranty tags, ensuring parts are retained per warranty guidelines, and creating and processing warranty claims to secure proper credit.

The hourly wage range for this position is $30.10 – $33.60. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications- 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
- Valid state‑issued driver's license.
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMSA regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle inspection qualified as defined in FMSA regulations, Section 396.19.
- Microsoft Office.
- ASE Certification – Certification, Transportation – Driver's License Class F – Certification.
