• Plan your day, set priorities, and work with your team to keep freight moving safely and on time.
• Handle all required paperwork and electronic logs accurately, complying with DOT, state, and company guidelines.
• Safely operate your tractor‑trailer and inspect it before, during, and after each trip to maintain roadworthiness.
• Run optimized routes following traffic laws and local restrictions to reduce delays and improve on‑time delivery performance.
• Uphold Walmart’s high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism on every mile of the route.

• Interstate (Class
  
  A) Commercial Driver’s License with HAZMAT endorsement or will obtain it within 120 calendar days of hire, with a cleared background check.
• Minimum of 30 months experience in a full‑time Class A tractor‑trailer driving position in the previous 36 months.
• No more than two moving violations while operating a personal or commercial vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations while operating a personal or commercial vehicle in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a personal or commercial vehicle in the last three years.
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last ten years.
• No fatality or catastrophic injury accident in driving history.
• Must currently live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or be willing to establish a residence within 250 miles by 90 days from hire date.
• * The preventability of accidents is determined by Walmart based on the ATA Guidelines.
