About the roleWe run digital PR across a portfolio of more than 85 automotive websites, and we are adding our first dedicated Digital PR hire to own that work. This is a hands‑on role for one person who can carry an idea all the way through: come up with the story, build the asset, publish it, and then pitch it until it gets picked up.
You will produce original research, data stories, and timely commentary, and you will work with journalists, editors, and creators to earn coverage, citations, and links.
Come up with story ideas and produce the content behind them: survey studies, data round‑ups, expert commentary, and interest pieces worth writing about.
Run your own research where it helps, including short surveys and the analysis that turns the results into something a reporter wants to cite.
Write the long‑form copy, and either create the supporting graphics or brief a designer to.
Publish finished pieces to our sites in Word Press.
Pitch your work to journalists, editors, and bloggers, and build the media lists to do it.
Watch for and answer journalist source requests (Connectively/HARO, Qwoted, Featured) to land quotes and mentions quickly.
Keep up relationships with reporters and editors so coverage compounds over time.
Track what lands: coverage, referring domains, mentions, and referral traffic.
What we are looking forPrior digital PR experience, with examples of coverage and links you earned yourself.
Strong writing. You can take a piece from outline to publish‑ready on your own.
Comfort working with data, from shaping a simple survey to reading the results and finding the story.
Experience with the tools of the trade, such as Buzz Stream, Connectively/HARO, Qwoted, a media database like Muck Rack or Cision, and a survey tool like Survey Monkey or Pollfish.
Comfortable publishing in Word Press.
Organized enough to keep several assets and outreach campaigns moving at once.
Nice to haveA journalism or agency media‑relations background, so you know how a newsroom decides what to run.
SEO fundamentals and some time in Semrush.
Basic design skills in Canva, or the judgment to brief a designer well.
How we workWe earn links the right way, through good content and real relationships. The goal is editorial coverage: citations, mentions, and links from real publications. We do not buy links, use link networks, or chase low‑quality directories.
We are an equal‑opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.
