Engineering Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Engineering Technician. Position Type:
Full-Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire Duration: 12 months

Location:

Palm Bay, FL 32905 As an Engineering Technician, you will:

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience.
• Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware.
• Hardware integration.
• Rigging/overhead crane.
• Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).
• Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements.
• Field support for launch vehicle integration only during a one-week timeframe at the end of the year.
• Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another-anything over this is a two-person lift.
• Occasional repetitive movements during specified durations.
• Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
• Cable routing and wire harness.
• Basic computer skills.

Ideal candidate will have High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Pay Range*: $33-$35 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Benefits:
