The Caregiver role is centered on providing compassionate, personalized support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to age, illness, or disability. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being in their own homes or care facilities. This position involves building trusting relationships with clients and their families, understanding their unique needs, and adapting care plans accordingly.

Caregivers play a critical role in monitoring health conditions, administering basic medical care, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to support overall wellness. Ultimately, the role demands dedication, patience, and empathy to foster a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity for those in care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid caregiver certification or completion of a recognized caregiver training program.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in providing personal care or support to elderly or disabled individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
• Experience working with clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other chronic conditions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation software.
• Additional training in specialized care techniques such as mobility assistance or palliative care.
• Strong communication skills in multiple languages.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare providers or family members.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in client condition.
