Job Summary
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, and repairing stainless steel and aluminum components in accordance with company drawings, specifications, and quality standards. In addition to welding duties, this position supports other manufacturing and production operations as needed to help meet production schedules, maintain workflow efficiency, and achieve company objectives.
Job Responsibilities- Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum materials.
- Fabricate, assemble, and fit components according to drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production documents.
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting.
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure quality and conformance with specifications.
- Use measuring equipment and hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and other shop equipment.
- Maintain welding equipment and work area in safe operating condition.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist in production, assembly, packaging, material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory, and other manufacturing activities when welding work is not required.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with common fabrication tools and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- This job involves the following physical demands: frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Environmental conditions involve warehouse temperatures of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and up.
- Job responsibilities involve occasional exposure to noise, oil, grease, dust, small particulates.
- Manufacturing or custom fabrication experience.
- Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum materials.
- AWS welding certification.
- Mechanical assembly experience.
