Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring Epic experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and a current FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Floating required to any of four system hospitals (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera), as well as to ED Holding
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction
- Candidates who have previously worked at this health system in an internal contracted position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31; medical and religious exemptions are accepted
- Scrubs must be a single solid color (matching tops and bottoms); no logos or prints permitted
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of application
- Free parking is available with a decal provided at orientation
- Holiday coverage is required
- Active FL or compact RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) from within the past year required for consideration
