Quality Technician will inspect incoming hardware in accordance with the applicable specifications/drawing requirements and review Supplier documentation. Technicians will identify and document non-conformances. Technicians will utilize measurement gauges, inspection instruments, microscopes to perform inspections. Works autonomously. May act as a mentor to lower-level peers and provide guidance on tasks.

• Perform mechanical and electrical hardware inspection on incoming material
• Verification of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings
• Utilize measurement devices tools such as Calipers, Height Gauge, Optical Comparator, micrometers, scales and dimensional measurement systems
• Utilize surface plates, precision measuring tools, gauges (blocks) and other mechanical inspection tools/tooling
• Access drawings and inspection instructions; document non-conformances
• Visual inspections of hardware using microscopes and magnifying lens
• Review Supplier documentation for adherence to Quality Clauses and Drawing Notes
• Initiate nonconformance report describing and photographing discrepancies
• Makes recommendations for solutions and uses knowledge and experience to resolve issues
• Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

• Certified to IPC‑A‑600
• Certified to IPC‑A‑610
• Certified to IPC/WHMA‑A‑620
• Experience running a CMM
• Experience using an XRF instrument
• Experience using Keyence measurement equipment Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience in Mechanical inspections utilizing inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, surface plate, electronic and mechanical height gages, comparator)
