Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. You may also have the opportunity to work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Hourly pay: $14.00 – $16.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Eligible for annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 10–11 hours.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisor, report hours, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Work additional days and extended hours surrounding holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On certain holidays you may be required to work the actual holiday and weekend shifts. - Department resets:
Participate in installing and moving Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. These assignments may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, collaborate with other merchandisers to support teammates across territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, continuously pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds (and up to 50 pounds on occasion). You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Readable, writeable, and understandable English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores.
