Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician’s primary goal is to provide exceptional service to our residents. The Maintenance Technician will work hand‑in‑hand with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide skilled, efficient, and professional service.

• Perform independently technical maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, appliances, and other required systems.
• Conduct apartment turnover maintenance within three to five business days and complete the turnover checklist.
• Perform common‑area maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, pressure washing, and window cleaning.
• Monitor building exterior for issues with roof, siding, shutters, and related components.
• Assist in maintaining an effective preventive maintenance program for the assigned area.
• Assume primary responsibility for the safe condition of all equipment or structures within the area of expertise.
• Enter any newly purchased tools or equipment into inventory.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Observe all safety rules.

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance coverage.
• EPA certification preferred; if required at a specific property, certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

• Maintenance experience and knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents.

• Willingness to work on‑call hours.
