Software Developer Intern

The Software Developer Intern position is a hands-on role focused on supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications and internal tools. This role includes both backend and frontend web development, CI/CD pipeline contributions, and cloud-based deployments.

The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to real projects, including software solutions that may incorporate automation, data-driven features, and AI-enabled components. This role is designed to provide practical experience in modern full-stack development while building strong technical, Dev Ops, and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborate with senior software engineers on the design, development, and implementation of web-based applications (frontend and backend).
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain backend services using NodeJS and/or Python.
• Design and interact with SQL databases and MongoDB for structured and unstructured data management.
• Support cloud-based infrastructure and deployments using AWS.
• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab CI/CD, supporting automated testing and deployments.
• Assist in containerization and environment management using Docker.
• Work with Linux-based systems and write shell scripts using Bash.
• Support infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal tools and systems, including AI-powered and data-driven applications.
• Support the integration of AI models or APIs (e.g., machine learning models, automation tools, or intelligent assistants) into existing software solutions.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI features, including basic data preparation, validation, and testing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug software, infrastructure, database, and deployment-related issues.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in web development, cloud technologies, Dev Ops, CI/CD, and artificial intelligence.

• Web development experience in the backend and/or frontend.
• Working knowledge of Python and Bash.
• Experience or academic exposure to React (frontend framework).
• Experience or academic exposure to NodeJS (backend runtime environment).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Git Lab CI/CD.
• Basic experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience working with SQL databases and/or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and modern software design patterns.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Basic understanding of Dev Ops concepts, including containerization and automated deployments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Linux environments, and Terraform is a strong plus.
• Basic understanding or interest in AI, machine learning, or data-driven systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and data formats such as JSON and CSV.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong academic background with coursework in web development, cloud computing, Dev Ops, CI/CD, or AI-related subjects preferred.
