- Work closely with and assist engineers on various engineering assignments
- Carry out basic work instructions to learn Company fundamentals and new skills
- Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Gather and assemble data for engineers
- Assist with research in a particular field as needed
- Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under engineer supervision
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details
- Perform varied tasks to gain familiarity with engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Engineering student with some progress toward an engineering degree
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a good network
- Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux operating systems
- Some experience with Windows
- Good understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing concepts
- Preferred: experience developing embedded drivers on Linux for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces
- Preferred: experience with Git, defect tracking tools preferably Jira, peer code reviews, and Agile methodologies
Demonstrates foundational engineering skills with a focus on software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux. Capable of conducting design analysis, testing, and collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
