A New York City based CPA and Consulting firm with a Long Island and Florida presence that provides expert financial advisory to companies across a diverse range of industries is hiring for several tax and audit positions. The firm offers a full range of integrated accounting, consulting and business management services from tax planning and audits to the most detailed analysis of acquisitions and financial restructuring.
We are seeking a Tax Supervisor specializing in the Technology and Professional Services industries here at Anchin, you will demonstrate knowledge of issues that may have a potential impact on clients while building valued relationships with them. In addition, you will be a valued resource for others; proactively seeking opportunities to mentor and share your knowledge with Staff/Semi/Seniors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with clients and seek to build valued relationships with a focus on how to serve them better.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the industry issues that have a potential impact on clients.
- Resolve clients’ issues/questions, requesting internal assistance when needed.
- Look for opportunities to assist in coordinating the body of client work and understand the timing and flow of work for clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, review, and filing of tax returns related to technology and professional services clients.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations related to the technology and professional services industries.
- Research to analyze and interpret tax implications for clients while also identifying potential tax risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Build a cohesive team on the engagement which allows all members to feel included and comfortable asking questions while promoting opportunities to provide better service to clients.
- Monitor engagement economics throughout the client engagement (budget, billable time, etc.) and proactively provide regular status updates to help the appropriate in charge on the engagement.
- Supervise and mentor Staff/Semi/Seniors, providing guidance on technical issues, professional development, and client interactions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on technology and professional services-related industries.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $115,000 to $140,000, based on individual’s experience level.
