Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on a Contract basis. This position supports daily accounting activities with a focus on both payables and receivables, helping maintain accurate financial records and timely transaction processing. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a detail-oriented, service-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage incoming invoices, verify details for accuracy, and prepare items for timely payment processing.

- Record customer and member payments, apply receipts correctly, and resolve discrepancies in account activity.

- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial records remain complete and accurate.

- Maintain vendor and customer account information, including updates, research, and issue resolution as needed.

- Assist with month-end close tasks by organizing supporting documentation and preparing routine accounting entries.

- Review account balances and transaction histories to identify inconsistencies and follow through on corrections.

- Support day-to-day bookkeeping operations using accounting software such as Quick Books.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and members to address billing and payment questions. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting work.

- Hands-on experience with invoice entry, payment posting, reconciliations, and account investigation.

- Proficiency with bookkeeping systems, including Quick Books, and confidence navigating financial records.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

- Solid organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear, up-to-date accounting documentation.

- Previous experience in a country club, hospitality, nonprofit, or property management setting is preferred.

- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a client- or member-facing environment.
