Mechanical Engineer

Design complex structural systems for high-impact aerospace and defense programs.

We're hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and analysis of structural components and assemblies on government-funded programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, working with advanced tools, and contributing to mission-critical systems.

What You'll Do

+ Design structural components, subassemblies, and systems for aerospace/defense applications

+ Perform stress, deflection, and margin analysis to validate designs (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)

+ Develop and refine designs using Siemens NX and GD&T best practices

+ Translate requirements into engineering models, calculations, and design solutions

+ Conduct trade studies to evaluate materials, configurations, and performance tradeoffs

+ Support design reviews (PDR/CDR), peer reviews, and analysis reviews

+ Generate and maintain technical documentation, analysis reports, and design packages

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with program leadership

+ Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, configuration control, and program requirements

What You Bring (Must-Have)

+

Experience with NX (Siemens NX) for 3D design

+ Strong understanding of GD&T

+ Experience performing structural/mechanical analysis

+ Ability to translate requirements into design + analysis outputs

+ Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals (stress, loads, materials, tolerances)

Nice to Have

+

Experience with ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA tools

+  Experience in aerospace or defense programs

+ Experience supporting design reviews and formal documentation packages

+ Familiarity with configuration control and government engineering standards

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $62.50/hr.
