Quality Coordinator/RN
Responsible for the implementation, management, and oversight of the quality improvement programs for clinical focus areas of stroke, sepsis, and cardiovascular clinical data and reporting. Responsible for instruction, training and education regarding the assigned programs and tracking the measures, determining data validity and reporting the results in a format that can be reported to regulatory and accreditation registries. Responsible for ensuring knowledge of the continual readiness requirement for accreditation and regulatory surveys through data collection, rounding, and feedback to departments and staff.
Present data and provide education and feedback to patients, staff and leaders in the facility regarding areas of expertise.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
- Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited educational institution required. MS in nursing or master's degree in related field from an accredited educational institution preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in quality assurance in an acute care setting. Minimum 1-3 years as a clinical nurse in medical surgical setting Experienced in the use of core measures abstraction, benchmarking, spreadsheet software, and databases. - Skills:
Thorough understanding of Joint Commission standards, NPGs, state and federal standards, core measures and value-based star ratings for clinical indicators. Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies and outcome management. Knowledge of peer review and clinical chart reviews. Knowledge of healthcare facility operations, functions, and staffing requirements. Strong computer skills and knowledge Microsoft Office products and Cerner (preferred). - License / Certification:
Current and unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license. CPHQ preferred. CPHQ must be obtained within 24 months of hire date.
