Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and manage Account Managers to build a high-performing regional team.
- Lead regional launch execution to drive awareness, demand generation, appropriate utilization, and sales performance.
- Develop and execute regional business plans prioritizing key accounts, customer segments, market opportunities, and resource allocation.
- Provide leadership to sales team to compliantly meet and exceed sales targets.
- Execute the approved regional marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions, adapt strategies, and ensure timely delivery of marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; leverage data/dashboards/performance insights to monitor results, coach, optimize execution, and guide resource allocation.
- Set performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching/feedback, and manage performance/disciplinary matters to ensure accountability, compliance, and a high-performing culture.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Ensure compliance with all field activities and company guidelines.
- BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years’ district/regional field management experience.
- Experience leading teams in hospitals, health systems, and large practice groups.
- Strong understanding of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Experience leading high-performing hospital/specialty/account-based teams in complex healthcare environments.
- Launch experience for specialty/anti-infective/infectious disease/hospital-based products with accountability for launch objectives.
- Deep understanding of hospital/health-system/large practice decision-making (formulary, antimicrobial stewardship, clinical pathways, protocol development, demand generation).
- Experience coaching teams on strategic account planning, stakeholder mapping, execution excellence, and driving sales. Strong analytical skills; success translating access/formulary/protocol adoption into sustained utilization.
- Anti-infective/hospital specialty/infectious disease experience strongly preferred.
- MBA/advanced healthcare/business degree preferred.
- Adhere to regulatory/legal/compliance standards; exceptional presentation/selling and business acumen.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong analytical/technical abilities with customer-focused approach.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
